Eric here from Baton Rouge Louisiana. I picked up cigar smoking not long after I turned 18, and really made a habit out of it when I started going to LSU. I'd love to get a job at a cigar shop but they just don't ever seem to have an opening.
Welcome to one of the coolest (if not THE coolest) site on the net! And I reckon finding vacancies in cigar shops would be very difficult seeing as though cigars are so relaxing and good and it's not as stressful a job as working in a department store ::has a flashback of Hechts/Macy:: ::shudders:: Anyway enjoy!
No, I got a couple years under my belt, dropped out, tried to join the Marine Corps, not long after I got to boot camp they told me I was a head case and sent me home. I'm gonna save up my money and look into becoming a tattoo artist.
I really like Hemingway's in Baton Rouge off of Jefferson and Goodwood. They're the cheapest in Baton Rouge, and the owner is cool as all get out. There's also Churchill's and Don Juan's in the same are but they're a little pricier. I stop by Churchill's occassionally but rarely get cigars from them, and I would only recommend Don Juan's as an absolute last resort as they are quite overpriced on everything, however, they do have some stuff that is really hard to find, such as the CAO Oddyssey. I get most of my cigars from cigarsinternational.com as they have insane deals.
