Over the years I have experimented with wines and cigars. Upon recommendation I tried port with a cigar. It was a wonderful combo. For those who have not tried it, I highly recoomend it. But here is a warning. . .don't get the cheap stuff! I highly reccomend either Sandaman's Founder Reserve, usually available for $18 per bottle or Noval LB at about $22 per bottle. I had my first Montecristo with the Sandaman's about a year ago for my birthday and all I can say is. . WOW.

try the Noval LB, sweet at first, nutty at the finish with a hint of almonds
Don't forget sherry, especially any bottle (fino excluded, which is too light and delicate) from Emilio Lustau. Even better bang for the buck than porto.
I love the sweet undertones in Maker's Mark and I'm a big fan of micro-brews as well.
I truly enjoy the White Portuguese Port. I can’t recall the name right now but it’s deliciously rich and complements cigars very well.
I like Cognac mixed with tonic water or gingerale over ice. Its really good over ice and mixed with different juices.
I figure if the French drink it that way and they make it why not. give it a shot its great.
Got to admit, I've never tried any type of port with a cigar before, but after reading everyones praise for it, I will definitely give it a try, hopefully this weekend!

...ugh, its only Monday...
If you can find it I recommend O'Malleys ISB and ESB and Schlafly Reserve Imperial Stout (10.5% ABV). If you like the beer that drinks like a meal this is the one for you. Good. Good. Good.
