Some of you may recall that in August of 2007, I was diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer. Because of medical issues with chemo and radiation treatments, pain problems, hospital stays, and several surgerys it has been a rough year for my Wife Lisa and myself. I've had good days but far many more bad days, to where it was a major undertaking just to get out of bed it seemed. Just the thought alone of having such a terrible disease as cancer was bad enough but to know that I was going to soon have to undergo a total colostomy and have a bag attached to me for the rest of my life was just the proverbial cherry on top of the sundee. There were times that it seemd like all we ever got was more bad news, until yesterday.

Went in for a Dr's office visit yesterday and got the news.

CANCER FREE!!!!

There are still some "suspicious cells" that have to be dealt with, but the tissue where they are located is being removed. I have one final surgery on 9/29 to remove the questionable tissue area, along with some scar tissue. 1 to 2 months to heal and I should be back to normal again.

I want to thank you all for the warm thoughts and prayers during this terrible time for us.

sometimes prayer's are answered ! great new's dale. hope all goes well for your family..
That's great to hear Bro. Hopefully you can get out in the woods and stick one or two before the surgery. Then after you have to come turn out the hounds with us at Briar Creek.
Sorry to hear about your problems and wish you well. You have just gone through one of the scariest diseases out there and I wish you well.

Please keep going in for periodic checkups because there is always a danger of a relapse. Most doctors will tell you that there is a five-year waiting period (it might be ten now) before they certify you cancer-free.

Once you get rid of the pain, get on with your life.

My prayers are withn you.

God Bless you.
