I was just wondering if anyone has smoked the new cigar put out by Ashton, It was blended by Don Pepin and its called Benchmade its a great price point ranging from 3-5 dollars. I found that is was extremely spicy, too spicy, to be put out from ashton.....What do you think?

It is a bargain smoke with some kick to it. Something that is usually hard to find in bargain smokes. and it burns pretty slow for a mixed filler stick.
It is not a bad cigar for the price. i smoked a couple of them and I enjoyed the flavor and the construction, burn and draw were pretty good.
Just because it is distributed by Ashton has no bearing on the cigar's strenth. Ashton also distributes San Cristobal by Pepin which is a power house of a smoke. This cigar is mixed filler but has a double binder which makes it burn like an all long filler. I think they are one of the best stogies on the market for the money.Medium to full bodied . I love the pigtail on each size. Classic Pepin!
Your absolutely right, it is a great value buy. i guess its just when i think of Ashton i think more mild to medium. i agree with you on the pig tail as well though
Benchmade! What can you say a fantastic everyday smoke !
it is an ok smoke in my opinion lots of pepin spice, great draw, and very good price point but a better mixed filler cigar in my opinion also blended by pepin is the Fumadores at Holts.com this has become my every day smoke.
I agree. I like the Fumadore a little better then the Benchmade.
