"Soda pop" with your cigar?

It's not my first preference, but sometimes a carbonated non-alcohol beverage is the best choice available while we're smoking. So, which if any of them work for you?

Diet Dr. Pepper actually works pretty well for me with a cigar. Diet root beer or sasparilla (one smoke shop here sells a lot of it to sit-down customers) combines well with stogies, on my uneducated palate anyhow.

haha i dont really like to drink a whole lot so i usually stick with a Dr. Pepper, However if im in a bar and im feeling vary much like The Dude ill have a caucasian (aka White Russian)

That's how it is in Texas. I used to ask my aunt (who's from Ohio) for a Coke as a kid and she'd say "we don't have Coke, we have Sprite/Pepsi/Dr Pepper, but no Coke". And I'd say yeah, that's what I meant, gimme some of that!

It's just like how we say "y'all" and y'all say "yous guys". . . lol

I have on occasion enlightened the taste of a less than palatable stick w/ Root Beer. The Abita Brewery of SE Louisiana turns out an exceptional bottle of the stuff!

I enjoy Jeff's or Jones's chocolate fudge soda and a nice Gurka Shaggy Foot on a hot summer day

Dang that sounds....disgusting, lol. Seriously, chocolate fudge soda? I can't even put those three flavors and sensations together in my brain....

Since I'm no soda loyalist, I'll drink anything non-diet with a cigar (Coke, Pepsi, Dr Pepper, Moutain Dew, anything). I've found that Dr Pepper is pretty universal though...

I personaly am an RC fan. If I am going to have a soda with cigar, usualy with a REALY heavy nicotine stick I will go for the RC Cola or the RC Cherry Cola. I know exactly what it does to the flavors, but I also know it will get me past a nicotine bomb without turning green!..

Most of the time it is Water, tea, or a beer.

I now have a very limited and rare favorite soda to enjoy while sitting on the beach and smoking my cigar. Some friends went to Canada on a fishing & camping trip this summer and brought back this killer soda "Mountain Blue Cola by Hosmer Soda Co."
