A Little Help For a Good Cause.

I don't like to ask for votes and things from you folks but this is something that I don't benefit from at all so I feel better about it.

Do me a favor. Cast a vote or two for my old high school. I went through the drama department there and I can tell you that it's a department in desperate need. The person most responsible for the existence of the drama department was a woman by the name of Mrs. Mary Parker. She worked hard to inspire and teach young students such as myself. I can confidently say that she was one of the most influential people in my choice to pursue my dream and in my life as a whole. In 2002 we lost her to cancer but I don't want to see the department she worked so hard for, right to the end, be lost as well. I would not be where I am now without it.

The associated video is mostly focused on the music department but the money would be going to all of the performing arts and the drama dept is even more destitute than what you can see. When I was there our facility consisted of one classroom and the horribly out of date auditorium. I use to raise and lower the light bars by hand-turning a crank designed to be run by a motor. The motor having broken years before I ever entered the school. I had to use a piece of cloth to prevent friction burns from the crank that had no rotating handle. It didn't help much. I could offer more examples but I don't want to ramble even more than I already have.
