Cigar Social Network
...er, um, I mean thread. In no particular order, little chit-chat about the tobacco scene here.
1) Straus Tobacconists, two locations. Downtown Cincinnati and Florence Ky. The downtown shop has some seating, in addition to the cigars, pipes and pipe tobacco they have a decent selection of wines. The Florence store is a bit larger and has lots of seating in their genuine Diamond Crown lounge.
2) Party Source Bellevue Ky. Most of you have at least perused their website, you are aware of their tremendous selection and good prices on cigars, as well as pretty much all other stuff you'd need for a party. In addition they have a patio that you are welcome to use during daylight hours, but it has no roof or walls. They are in the process of expanding their store, do not know if an indoor smoking facility is planned. Their weekly cigar events are held on Tuesdays at the nearby Beer Sellar bar. (Our crowd outgrew the store's patio several years ago.)
3) Jungle Jim's market, Fairfield Ohio. An international food and beverage store is a good way to think of this place, also they offer way more than that on their expansive property. What you all want to know about is the cigar stuff so I'll stick to that. A pretty decent humidor with good (for Ohio) prices. They hold a cigar event most every Thursday year round, upstairs on a sort of covered balcony area.
4) Carrousel Tobacco, Roselawn/Reading area. Small shop with a few chairs. More oriented towards pipes and pipe tobacco but have a decent array of cigars too.
5) Anthony's Cigar Bar, West Chester area (20 miles or so north of Cincy). Nice place but due to Ohio's smoking laws you can't light up there (wink wink) because they are also a restaurant. Good selection of stogies last time I looked.
6) Cork and Bottle, two locations in northern Kentucky. Smaller, inferior versions of Party Source, by my reckoning anyhow. Plus, no place onsite to enjoy your smokes.
