Confessions of a Cuban Cigar Smoker book review contest

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I figured since I'm using this forum to promote my new book "Confessions of a Cuban Cigar Smoker, Volume I" I should also try to give something back so this is my attempt to do something nice. I'm going to give away a box of Cohiba Behike 52s for getting you to help me promote the book.

So I have to imagine you are dying to know what you have to do to win these babies right?

Well first off you have to own a legally purchased copy of the book. Then you have to give a minimum 50 word review of it on any cigar forum you are a member of or any of the following websites/ebook services:

Amazon (when its available there)
iTunes
Barnes & Nobel
Kobo
Diesel-ebooks.com
Goodreads.com

You can also do reviews on other websites that are appropriate. Once you do your reviews you send me an email at [email]Addiction@addydaauthor.com[/email] to let me know. The email should have the forum you are entering from and your screen name on that forum. I'll also need to know where you bought the book and the id/name you used there. For every review you post that can be verified you will have your name dropped in a hat. Then as long as 100 reviews are generated on February 25th I'll draw a name from the hat and once I verify that person purchased a copy of the book prior to their review cycle that person gets a box of Cohiba Behike 52! Can I really enter multiple times? [Yes you can enter once for each site you submit. You can even enter for any sites you feel appropriate. However I will inspect each review and I am the final determiner of if that was an appropriate site For example the language is adult so I don't think reviewing this on SesameStreet.com is a good idea. You also can not post a review on the same site multiple times, that sort of spamming will not be tolerated and that will have you removed from the contest.

Can I just use the same review over and over? Sure you can, you can write it once and then copy and paste the damn thing to your heart's content. I'd prefer if you used original content in each one but you can repeat.

What if I don't like the book? You don't have to like it to review it. The review can say the book sucks and you would still get credit, the only requirement is the review has to sound like you actually read the book. I again am the final determiner of if your review sounds like you read the book.

You are doing this on multiple websites? Yes, of course. It's really forums like this one that turned me on to the hobby so I want to kick as much as I can back. This contest is a single contest across multiple forums meaning I will only be giving away one box but I am running the contest in multiple places. However assuming I get some traction I will sponsor separate contests for each of my favorite forums at a later date. It is my intent to spend at least 15% of book profits on giveaways and what not and almost all of that is aimed at cigar smokers.

What about social media, are you completely unaware of this phenomenon? No silly I got you covered. Tweeting a positive comment on the book with a link to the first chapter (http://addydaauthor.com/chapter-1/) will get you THREE copies of your name in the hat. Yes the tweets have to be positive to count, sorry. This can only be redeemed once. Blog posts on the book will also get you THREE tickets.

You are only giving away one box? Initially that's the plan, however if lots of reviews are being created I'd give away more. In fact let's make this commitment: for every whole allotment of 250 reviews after the first 250 reviews I will add an additional box, however I will not give away more than 4 boxes. So at 500 reviews I give away 2 boxes, 750 reviews I'll give away 3 boxes and 1,000 or more reviews I'll give away 4 boxes. I'll also commit that if it gets up to me giving away 4 boxes I will give away one on each forum that participated. For the additional boxes some of you might have to settle for BHK 54s or BHK 56s depending on my current stock levels. If there are multiple boxes given away each winner is only allowed to win one box even if they enter in multiple forums (just in fairness).
