LCDH in cabo should have a good selection, but they are a bit pricey with the Mexican taxes.

As stated, learn up.  There are FAR too many knock offs in the tourist areas.  Better idea would be to search for cigar retailers in the areas you will be visiting that have an online presence, changes are they are going to me better, more legit options.

I live in Cancun Mexico.  We have a few authorized Cuban cigar shops here.  The key is never buy any cigars out of the small wooden/ glass boxes they are fake.   If anyone comes down message me and I will make sure you get the real thing.  Personally I prefer my Maduro Cigars from the states.
