Nobody does it like Micah and the crew at The Party Source !! This post is a couple of days late, but better late than never. On December 14th The Party Source hosted a cigar event that they will have a hard time topping. They brought out all kinds of "hard to find " cigars ranging from Sencillo to OpusX to Flying Pig's. I contacted Micah the day before the event and he was generous enough to hold a box of Opus X Robustos for me til I got to the event. Not only did they have all these great cigars for sale they had wings from Hooters for everyone there. Then came the big event of the night, the raffles. Now some places might raffle off a few fivers and maybe a lighter or something along that line. Not Micah. No lie these raffles went on for nearly 45 minutes. They gave away bags of cigars, boxes of cigars just about everything, and for the grand prize a huge Montecristo humidor that was too big for them to bring to the event, the winner had to make arrangements to pick it up from the store. Although I did not win anything in the raffles that night, I still had a fantastic time. At our table it was myself,Arturo, Brian D., and Torpedo2. Brian D won twice and was kind enough to share his winnings with the table (thanks for the Padron Brian). So needless to say I had a great time as always when it comes to one of The Party Source's Tuesday cigar tastings. So if you ever make your way to Newport kentucky on a Tuesday evening, you have to make it a point to attend one of these stellar events. Thanks for the fantastic time Micah !!

Permalink Reply by Arturo on December 16, 2010 at 10:17pm Distance is a big factor for Brian [dogs] and me, or we'd be headed there every Tuesday. It's about 100 miles south of me and 60 from Brian's house, so I stop there first and we drive down together when the weather cooperates. We always stop at The Party Source first, though, to browse thru the humidor before heading over to the Beer Sellar [where the Tuesday night herfs are held]. The Beer Sellar people usually prepare a free meal for us [or you can purchase sandwiches or pizza, too] and those wings form the Hooters next door were as special as the Fuente event Micah put on. Besides the raffles and cigars for sale there, we also get to buy a bag of 3 cigars for $10. Tuesday night it was Fuente Rosado, Fuente 8-5-8 maduro and Fuente 8-5-8 natural. Ya just cannot go wrong...thanks again, Micah!
I couldn't agree more, I v'e been lucky enough to get there at least evey other week. I brouhgt some friends with me and they both agreed it was worth the travel. The newbie with us ended up winning a box Montecristo. We went to the Humidor after the event to pick up Christmas gifts and as usual Mike was in there and being very helpful. He gave the new guy a quick tour and very was helpful. If you ever visit the humidor you will be surprised at some of the prices. They beat online prices on quite a few cigars. I'll be there again this coming Tuesday to get those last minute gifts (for me) :)
