I strive to be the best that I can and attempt to work my way up the latter as opportunities present pared with my interest level. Maintaining that position always poses a problem since I am a start up guy and maintaining continues to be a problem.
Being illusive seems to be just part of my makeup. I get to whatever event, make great friends then disappear for a bit. I have found that when I do reconnect, we just pick up where we left off. I just reconnected after 40 years with a friend from college. It is just so much easier when I am in closer proximity to others, but the lag still seems to be the same.
It is not that I am intentionally avoiding people. There is just so many things that are screaming for my time. I bet you all are not so different in this respect. You devote current time to that which satisfies you.
The New Year is starting off great. One manufacturer I represent called to tell me the great news of orders. Another salesman called me to let me know that their company is very interested in my time. I will continue my education and certification for another position which perhaps may replace my current independent manufacturers representantive sales position. And I continue to persue a third night job which has tremendous possibilities. Perhaps more on that to come although I bet it will encourage many laughs. Wait till your hear!
Working on the Maple project will consume much of my time over the first quarter of 2012. We expect to more than quadruple production. No need to worry about 2013 since the Mayan calender will end and we will all go up in smoke.
I can truly say that I have so enjoyed chatting on line with you all and sharing posts. It has provided me great joy. Things change and that is the nature of life. Change and move with it otherwise you become stagnant
I think I shall team up with JoeEd for the next KOI herf (KY, OH & IN for those of you outside the area). Perhaps we can get a better place than the Eastgate Bates Motel. I will investigate.
If there is local interest, 2012 may be the year to proceed to CigarFest again. I'm Ready.
God Bless you all!

Permalink Reply by Just JoeEd.™ on December 23, 2011 at 6:35am Merry Christmas to you Tommy! Looking forward to a prosperous new year as well. I haven't had a second to catch my breath as my current work situation is crazy, three new projects here in Atlanta all with "new to us" general contractors...really drains me to have to break in these fools on a daily basis...but I digress. It is a good sign anyway as I feel much more secure about getting that paycheck on a weekly basis than this time last year!
Hope you and yours have a wonderful season and look forward to "KOI 2012" or SinTuckey III? Peace!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Tommy!
A very merry Christmas to you too, Mr. Martin. It looks like you are a busy man. I will be busying myself with writing TPS reports, drinking various libations, smoking cigars and otherwise occupying my recliner. Looks like another good year ahead.
