Is "The Cigar Oasis" the biggest piece of s%#@ on the market?

Mine sure is. Inconsistent and never measures up to what my hygrometer says. This thing is overpriced and under-performing!

I have an Oasis II for almost two years and have had no problems with it

Just curious about what size and what kind of humidor you are using. I have a small humi that keeps no more than say 45 sticks. I just use the pillows and some additional humidifiers that look like a silver dollar. Built into the inside is one hygrometer and I keep another one inside. Right now they measure 65 and 74. I can't figure this out either. Maybe I need a third hygrometer or just fill the humidor with hygrometers.
I calibrated my digital hygrometer with a Boveda calibration bag. My humidor holds up to 200 cigars. It is currently packed. The hygrometer on the outside that is built into my humidor is a novelty at best. The Oasis is a bitch. It is supposed to make life easier and it doesn't. If I put a sponge humidor like you have in yours, the humidity instantly rises. The oasis can take a really longtime and the batteries quickly deplete during the time it does this. I bought it to be more reliable and easier to maintain and the cost/benefits ratio is not where it should be. I just wish there were more set it and forget it options for us.
I have the XL in a 150 ct chest and it works great! I've been using it for over six years now and it keeps all my cigars at 65%, regretably the fan has died, I wouldn't hesitate to get another!

I have a 600 Count with a Oasis only it has 3 shelves and works great and a smaller oasis in a cooler thats works great i also used the boveda bags to calibrate my hygros and they work perfect .In the summer i have to have a air conditioner on at all times when it gets hot and humid here in NY also maybe leave a hygro out and see what the temp and humidity is in the room That has alot to do with it also are you soaking the oasis or just wetting it
Good Luck

You cant go by the numbers on the oasis go by the hygros i have 1 on each shelve and 1 in each cooler
Its a poorly made piece of shit from China. Glad you all have had luck with it, but for me I wish there was something better to protect my cigar investment.
Thanks Steve I am gonna look into that.
How long have you had it? Most of their products have at least a one-year warranty. May be worth it to send it back and have them send you a replacement. We don't often have people complain about the Cigar Oasis.
I never had a problem with my Cigar Oasis or Hydra's.
Sorry folks just had yet another problem with the piece of shit. Horrible product that just does not work properly. Can't keep calibrating it. LG makes a product called the HYDRA. Gonna give that a shot. I can safely say I will never buy a product from Cigar Oasis again. My stock of cigars are now less than perfect in my opinion due to this horrible manufactured product.
