Cigar Social Network
I don't often feel the need to speak up on behalf of a cigar company/b&m. But in this case, Kevin Senor Cigar and I went to visit one of New York City's newest tobacconists, and we were treated like royalty. The two partners of Maraya Cigars know how to do it right.
This is a tiny shop on Orchard Street in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. And they only sell one brand, their own house brand, in two varieties and three vitolas for each (more on that later). But it is a classy joint, they are good people, and if you have the chance, you should check them out.
Also, for those of you who are not New Yorkers, I can tell you that while they do not yet have Internet sales, if you call them and tell them what you want, they can ship their cigars to you.
So here is the info:
Maraya Cigars

New York, NY 10002
Open 11 am to 7 pm 7 days

So as I said, Kevin and I had a great time there. Their two varieties are Tango, a bold spicy cigar, and Piano, something flavorful but a little more gentle. And for each they have a torpedo, 5x52 I believe, toro, 6x50 and perfecto, 6x60. Of course, I went for the perfecto, in my case the piano, and it was great. A little bit of issue with the burn, but otherwise, lovely.
Check them out!
