I was very excited to hear that CA has recognized what I've known for years - that nowadays, for any cigar line to really demonstrate that it is a serious line to be reckoned with, you have to have a 6x60 (whether you want to call it a Gordo or Double Toro or Gigante or a name of your own invention - Brickhouse calls theirs a "Mighty Mighty").

Anyway, here's the CA article: http://www.cigaraficionado.com/Cigar/CA_Features/CA_Feature_Basic_T...

I have long sought out 6 x 60s - just a few years ago there were not that many, but now most lines have one. My favorites include the Oliva Series V Double Toro and the Camacho LegendArio Bertha. I also like the Padilla Cazadores Toro Gordo and the Puros Indios Gordo. In the early days two of the only ones I could find were the LGC Serie R #6 and the CAO Brazilia Amazon - haven't had either one in quite a while, so I need to smoke some of those soon! Several years ago I started compiling a list of all the different 6x60s and I got up to about 35 different ones. By now I'm sure if I had kept that list up to date, it would be 2 to 3 times that size.

Why do I like them? They smoke cool, rarely go out, and just feel right to me. And the complexity of flavor you can get in a binder that thick is unmatched to me.

SINCE MOST OF THE FLAVOR COMES FROM THE WRAPPER, A LONGER, NARROWER CIGAR SEEMS, IN MOST CASES, TO BE THE BEST BET. LONSDALES AND LANCEROS DELIVER THE MOST BANG FOR THE BUCK. AND, SPEAKING OF BUCKS, THESE SIZES WILL SAVE YOU A COUPLE OF DOLLARS THAT YOU CAN UTILIZE IN BUYING MORE CIGARS. OF COURSE, THERE IS STILL NOTHING LIKE LIGHTING UP A NICE, THICK, SLOW-BURNING CHURCHILL THAT LASTS FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS. IN THE FINAL ANALYSIS; IT'S WHAT YOU LIKE THAT REALLY COUNTS.
