I like a lot of the Miami Cigar Company releases (and hey, they distribute the La Aurora 107, which I loooove.) Then you need to throw in that Pepin was involved in this project, and it already sounds like a sure-fire winner. And in the case of the 1989, win it did; for a sub-five dollar cigar, this thing smokes like a million bucks; great flavor and decent construction for the minimal price made this a pleasure to smoke. Lots of black pepper flavor, and at one point it almost tasted like a rare steak! I am excited to try the oscuro, anyone have any comparisons on the two? Full review with pictures up at
Ubi Cigar. Comments and feedback greatly appreciated!
