ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?!?!?!
Yes. Most definitely.
At least something to fill in the little slices between bogus political campaign commercials, right? Who's going to be hot, and who's going to rot?
List your regular season record guesses below. If enough people jump in, maybe we can make this a contest..
Guesses need to be posted before kickoff on Wednesday night!
10 points for each team's dead-on regular season record
6 points for +/-1
3 points for +/-2
1 point +/- 3
Total possible points 320. High score wins first, second prize to most dead-on picks (if any).
Sound doable?

Cardinals 4-12 , they have a pretty stiff schedule this year.
Falcons 8-8, maybe even better.
Ravens 11-5
Bills 9-7, with Dolphins and Jets weak, Bills will give Patriots a run for the division.
Panthers 5-11
Da Bearsss 8-8, hopefully better if Cutler can gut out the season.
Bengals 4-12
Browns 5-11
Cowboys 9-7, taking one of two from Eagles
Broncos 9-7, so long as Peyton stays upright
Lions 9-7
Packers 11-5
Texas 10-6
Colts 10-6, though that might be a lot of over-optimism. Hoosier, what do you think?
Jaguars 4-12
Chiefs 4-12, though my gut guess is 3-11
Dolphins 4-12, though I foresee them being beat by everyone, except maybe the Jets.
Vikings 5-11
Patriots 11-5, I have the sneaking suspicion that Tom Brady has moved past his prime, and 2011 was the Pats' last best chance for another SB Ring.
Saints 9-7
Giants 10-6
Jets 4-12
Raiders 7-9
Eagles 6-10, Andy Reid is in big, big trouble unless they can beat Cowboys, Lions and Skins
Steelers 10-6, another great QB, and defense that are getting past their prime.
Chargers 8-8
Seahawks 7-9
Buccaneers 6-10
Redskins 7-9

Permalink Reply by Loomis™ on September 11, 2012 at 11:22pm The Bears have at least one decent QB on the bench. I feel the Bears depth will pick up slack on all except two positions, QB is not one of them. My prediction for the Bears are 10-6 or better. I've been a Bears fan all my life win or lose. I really feel they have the best starting team and bench in the past 26-27 years.

Permalink Reply by Loomis™ on September 11, 2012 at 9:23pm RE: Green Bay 11-5. If GB wins 11 games this means they'll win a minimum of 3 divisional games, are you figuring 1 game per divisional opponent or are they going to beat one divisional team twice?

Permalink Reply by Brian D. on September 12, 2012 at 6:20pm I wish Mike Brown would pull an Art Modell. No, I don't mean drop dead a couple days ago--well maybe--just like to see him move the Bengals to another city, like Modell did that one time with the Browns. Heck I would help the Bengals pack up, and donate towards the stadium demolition fund. Would be plenty of room there for skeet fields and an indoor rifle/pistol range.
mmk~ and Loomis, remember when they used to shoot trap/skeet right there on the downtown Chicago lakefront? What was that called, Lincoln Park Trap Club? Maybe they should bring that back to kill off those Asian Carp.
Aren't you guys glad I don't drift into these football threads much? :D

Permalink Reply by Jimbob, Derelict on October 29, 2012 at 2:14pm After Week 8, lets see how I'm doing so far...
Cardinals 4-12 (4-3 so far) They've impressed me this year with a 4-0 start, and they have a chance to beat Rams and Jets soon.
Falcons 8-8 (7-0 so far) Wow, Ryan's on FIRE! If they keep this pace, they might get to 12-4 and into the playoffs.
Ravens 11-5 ( 5-2 so far) Injuries have really killed them this year, but they can get to 10-6 and maybe playoffs.
Bills 9-7 (3-4 so far) Um, yeah. Overestimated, perhaps. They might get 3-4 more wins, if they're lucky.
Panthers 5-11 (1-6 so far) So much for getting out of the Sophomore Slump for Cam & Co. Outside chance of winning 4 more.
Da Bearsss 8-8 (6-1) Looking good, especially with Lions and Packers looking mortal. 11-5 maybe, and playoffs..
Bengals 4-12 (3-4) Sucking like they were forecast to. The rest of the season will be a prolonged beating for them.
