NFL 2012: Week 2 Banter
"Hey Clay, what's my bum smell like?"
"After 7 sacks, it smells like grass, Jay."
Dang, week 2 got off to a raucus start, with a big defensive battle between the Bears and the Packers. However, the Bears' offense came out the weaker of the two, and particularly the offensive line, allowing 7 sacks, with Clay Matthews leading the monster charge at 3.5 sacks. Not to be outdone (by much) Julius Peppers nailed 2 of the Bears' 5 sacks on Aaron Rogers.
Battles to watch this week:
Ravens v. Eagles
Jets v. Steelers
Falcons v. Broncos

Word is, Darelle Revis will be out Sunday. So, add another 3 points to the spread, please. The Jets' defense might be able to bully the Bills, but the Steelers are made of sterner stuff. Steelers by 7.
I'm also betting that Michael Vick leaves the Ravens-Iggles game before the 4th quarter, courtesy of Messrs. Lewis and Ngata.

Wow, there are a load of 8-8 guys in the 'pick 'em' groups.. Saints, Pats, Cowboys are just layin' down. And how did Philly squeak by the Ravens, who are much better than the Browns that the Eagles squeaked by the previous week?
Time to start flipping coins to pick the games, because the classic stinkers and classic studs are being inconsistent from week to week.
