Ok folks...Answer me this.

Now we all know what your favorite smoke might be but what is the drink of choice with said smoke of choice.

Jack,
I find Brandy to be the best accompaniment. And, I want it to be raining outside, I want a box of See's candy, a foghorn going off in the distance and Henry Mancini's "Lujon" playing.

Pick your 'gar of choice and drink anything from water to white lightning and each drink will make the 'gar taste differently. And in reverse pick your favorite drink of choice and each gar you smoke with it will make the beverage taste differently, even with HDoubleDeuceZero.
Being a veteran of too many concerts of all musical genres I can't hear the cigar I'm smoking anymore.

I'm a rum drinker - my new rum of choice is Barcelo Anejo, which is a lot better than the regular Barcelo. I also drink Flor de Cana, but I haven't had it in a while.

for me it depends what Im smoking but typically is Rum or a dark brew.
but I have discovered by accident that Dr Pepper flows very well too. lol

For me, it really matters what type of cigar it is.
My first choice will always be coffee or water no matter what, however I do enjoy a good stout or porter with darker cigars. I also like a tawny port, scotch, or a red wine (cabernet / malbec / syrah) with a medium bodied smoke.

My rule of thumb is that I always just have water with a cigar I have never had before to see how it is, if I like it, I love experimenting with different libations to see how it changes.

yea I drink water the first time around too. Really get that flavor and feel in.

I think it depends on the cigar you are smoking. With spicer full flavored cigars I enjoy 10 cane rum and Black Seal rum but a good single malt scotch or Irish wiskey is also good.

My first choice is single malt scotch...anything with "Glen"...fidditch or livet. Second is red wine, something dry and tasty. Third is a beer or ale of some type. I'm going to try brandy soon, I've heard it's wonderfull also.
