Organizing a Herf

Well, signs point to another bust for the Nebraska Cigar Festival, due to the disorganization of the "organizers". Cigar events are usually a bust here, because the stores do a crummy job of promotion. It looks like if I want any cigar fun in this town, I'm going to have to make it myself.

So, the venue choices are:

A) Decent shop with space for 12 herfers, tops

B) Bigger shop with more space, but owner doesn't give a crap about his humidor

C) Nice bar with little humidor.

I'm thinking October, some weekend with a Husker away game. Last time I threw a shindig, I got 40+ folks there.. including MMK and Loomis!

Have you thought of going to Omaha? Maybe they would work with yuo at Havana Garage. We have small group that meets there monthly. Just a thought....

Thanks, Victor. I was thinking of something in Lincoln (as I'm a major-league homebody). I have been meaning to do a cigar-crawl of Omaha, the Garage being on the short list of spots to hit.

The Bird garage in Beatrice is hands-down, the coolest place for 4-7 cigar smokers to hang.. any more than that is a stretch. I'm thinking 20-40 folks, including Ben, Liz, Booga, etc..
