Does anybody know the real story on the Perdomo Reserve series - particularly my favorite, the Cameroon (gray label)? I've heard variously that the whole line has been discontinued, that it will soon be discontinued, that the same cigars are coming out as something else with a new name....all the way to Nick Perdomo getting serious about politics and getting out of cigars completely. Other than not believing that last one, I'm not quite sure what to believe. I've even received conflicting stories from my local shops, and other online forums.

Does anybody know the real scoop? I love these cigars and need to know if I should buy all the ones I can find now, or what? Thanks! -Beth

Yikes - I really hope they're NOT going away - the perfecto has been in my top 10 for almost 3 years now, with the PC not far behind it! I'd say that the best way to get the REAL scoop on these would be to ask an actual Perdomo rep.
Famous Smoke was selling these as "discontinued" for the last month or so, as five packs, boxes, and singles. A few weeks ago I cornered 30 Reserve Cameroon robustos [5" x 54 ring] at the ridiculous price of $1.50 EACH, on their "discontinued closeouts on sale" page. The only Reserve Cameroons they have left are the small ring size cigars.

BTW, they are also closing out the Reserve Champagnes in some sizes. The robusto fiver is on sale today at $14.95 [sale ends today].

The Reserve Maduros are all gone.
I love the Perdomo Cameroon. I jumped on this deal too. I wish I had purchased two bundles instead of just one.
Yeah, I think that was the same deal I got a few weeks back . . Sweet deal, only I think it was 25, they just didnt come in the box right ?
Yep! A bundle of 25 robustos.

That was a sweet deal!
Here is the deal as told to me by Jeff Owens at Perdomo. The Cameroon was phased out due to the cost of cameroon wrapper. The Perdomo reserve Golf Edition was discontinued due to porr sales and the Sungrown, formally know as the Cuban Cafe, was also phased out because Nick does not want too many brands under his name. In the Reserve line the Champagne was the only one kept in it's original blend.
The new Criollo Tenth Anniversary (smoke one of these as soon as you can) was added to the Reserve line and the Maduro was reblended (smoke one of these as soon as you can) with the new Tenth Anniversary band.
I was disappointed about the loss of the Cameroon and the Sungrown but I have been in love with the new Criollo and the new blend on the Maduro. In fact I have smoked a box of each since they came out in August.
The discontinuation of the Cameroon is a real loss. Great cigar. Thanks for getting the real scoop. -B
They better not. I still have yet to try these! (0_0 )
OK, Ross, fess up - how much is Neptune paying you????
Well when I do buy something at Neptune I'll tell them Ross sent me.
I heard about this a month ago and jumped on a box of robustos @ Famous for $40 !! However, I believe it was a weekend deal or something . . . Now that I know this I am gonna have to save 'em
