Now, where I live, there's a few B&Ms within about five miles or so.  And while I can pick up a cigar or two when the mood strikes me, I'm feeling some of them are a bit lacking.

One place is okay, though they don't carry specific sticks I'm looking for, I still get that 'do your parents know you're here, kid' look (despite being in my late 30s) from whoever's behind the counter.  The lounge is small but comfortable, but last time a pushy guy came in, started commenting on the movie on the TV despite not knowing thing one about it, then picking up the remote and changing to a news/finance channel.  Good thing I was almost done.

Another place sometimes have the sticks I seek, but it's really small, the people behind the counter are not conversationalists, and the lounge is not as comfortable.

The third was my favorite, having all the stuff I wanted.  But they closed down.  Red Bank NJ's a pain in the butt for that.

So, I scout for places.  See, I saw stuff online (thank you Google Maps) pointing to one store in Shrewsbury.  It's called Cigar Stop.  There's no website for the store, the review I see on others are positive, but I've been disappointed before.  Since this place has some Jersey folk, anyone been here/know about it?

I think the prices are an NJ thing, sadly.

the one store I was going to was Barrister Cigars in Union on Rt 22W...great selection and Dave the owner is very friendly and knowledgeable....very spacious lounge and great people...but it's just not that convenient for me to get to...about a 40 min ride from my house. There aren't any good places by me but a friend of mine suggested Smoker's Haven in Matawan...don't know if that's one of the places you described...haven't been there yet...I'm still in search of a good store/lounge near me...let me know if you find one.

Oh, I forgot about Smoker's Haven in Matawan.  Was there once, but the lounge is by subscription/membership only.  But that was years ago, I might have old information and that might have changed.

LOL! I visited the Cigar Shop in Shrewsbury this afternoon. Nice spot; has a roller on staff everyday, and a very nice assortment of cigars in a decent sized walk in humidor. Scott was the individual who assisted me and was very helpful. They have a small lounge in the back of the store that was clean and inviting. Prices were about average with other B&Ms that I visit. Cigars ranged from $7 and up. It was my first time in the shop and it was during my lunch hour, so I didn’t get into every nook and cranny, but I was happy.

Not sure if you are willing to go a little further south, but there’s Cigars Plus in Brick and The Blind Pig in Beachwood. Both are very nice establishments. My local B&M in The Blind Pig, prices are a little on the high side, but they do have a house blend that is very good for around $7 and the lounge area is great and so is the staff.

Cigars Plus

The Blind Pig

I might end up checking out Stop tomorrow, then, since I have the day off of work and a party in Long Branch that night.

Cigars Plus used to have a branch in Red Bank, which was so awesome.  It closed earlier this year despite always having business whenever I was there.  I'm still bummed about it.

I was looking for a thread/sub-forum like that here.  I apologize if it's off-topic to the forum.

Yes!

Hi,

I have joined this forum recently. i would like to let you know that we, Little Cigar Warehouse are one of the famous online cigar store.

I just examined your website, which seems geared towards cigars more commonly found at a gas station cash register. I would know, as I did 5 months in Walla Walla for aggravated shoplifting for continually swiping grape-flavored Swishers. It is an addiction, and I'm still in recovery. The first step is to acknowledge that you have a problem, right?

I did a search on your site for a brand of cigars I like, however the search returned- Your search returns no results.   I'm sure a top notch humidor like your's receives new Schidt on a weekly or daily basis.

The search I tried was "Loomis's Schidt". Can you let me know if you're expecting a shipment soon?

hey ...I ain't clickin' shit!

try ipcpr.com i am a trucker and i use them all the time to find cigar shops in any state.
