Thanks for the Kind Welcome

Hello all,

I'm John from Gurnee, IL - about 25 miles North of Chicago. I've been smoking one thing or another for the last 25 years. I've been smoking ciagrs exclusively for about 9 months. So I'm very new to cigars. My best friend got me started on an Avo Maduro Belicoso. I'm very partial to all the Avos and I'll take a Maduro anytime.

This looks like a great site. I'm looking forward to seeing all the topics, boards, etc. Also, I"m looking for any gatherings (herfs?) in the Chicago area and any tips on local store events. Please feel free to contact me about those topics or anything.

Hello John,
Welcome to the circle. No matter what your tastes are you'll find friendly and informative folks here I do believe. I like Maduros now and then myself. I consider them more of a morning smoke with a cup of coffee. I am wanting to expand my tastes with the Maduros but many I have tried burn poorly. My favorites are 5 Vegas and Graycliff.

You know mmk, I only just realized that every so often I drive almost right past Churchill & Down when I visit family in Lake Forest. . . . how good is that place?
