Having an endless supply of top rated cigars has spoiled me and I have forgotten the other side of the industry. As more and more retired consumers move to my area they have been asking me to carry some less expensive lines. I have done much research on this and while I have found plenty of cigars in the price range they have requested, I know nothing about them. Can the SC smokers out there educate me on some of the better brands I could carry and how they taste?

yes, you are so right, I love the maduro torp. and those are one of my best sellers, the Oliva rep brought them as samples one day and they have been in the store ever since. thx mmk
The Giants 10x66, despite it's stupid size, smokes really nicely and tastes great. And talk about complexity....good stuff but you better have 3-4 hours to kill if you wanna finish it. They make great football watching smokes since you'll only finish one by the time the game is over!

Now they just need to make the Maduro and Corojo lines in 10x66.... (^_^ )

The 8x60 Super Presidente (or whatever) is damned good, too.
I love the giant robustos, 5x60. Haven't tried the 8x60 or 10x66 - pretty sure I would get funny looks if I smoked one of those in public.
more than usual?
Flor deOliva is an excellent bundle, oh wait MMK already said that. Another Favorite of mine is LaFloridita, but it's exclusive to Famous.
Give us some of the brands you are suggesting and you may get specific opinions.
just to name a few;

EO #21
Esteban Carreras
Honduran Habano
National
Panama Red
Puros Indios
MI Dominicana

thx
The Puros Indios seems to be popular and their quality has really gone up. (IMHO)
Tony,
I used to enjoy the Puros Indios Piramides. They are on the mild side, kind of a uniqe shape and taste, a little rough around the edges. Perdomo Slow Aged is another bundled stick that smokes slow and pretty strong as it progresses, but a decent one for the buck. I agree on Flor de Oliva-maybe the best bundled deal around.
I love Puros Indios. Have smoked a few of the Gordos (Gordas?), 6x60, and was very pleased. Also the aged Pyramides are great.
Micah ROCKS!
I just tried a Casa Magna Oscuro today. I think it's a great smoke for the price
