Start your own self-introduction thread in this forum. We want to get to know you.

Hi There! I'm Bryan, Aka Herfin Bigdog.

There have been lots of Newbies that have joined Social Cigar since it became publicly accessible. But several of you have not posted Newbie Introductions so we, the current members can get to know you. If you don't post an Introduction, we can't Welcome you to this great Forum.

We don't bite. We're very friendly here. We've only been around since October 2007. But we have over 2000 members. We are one of the fastest growing Cigar Forums currently on the Internet.

We're VERY Newbie Friendly. And believe me, I know. I have been on Forums where the favored game seems to be to see how quickly the membership can drive away the Newbies. That doesn't happen here. We love Newbies as you are the future of cigars. You can keep the enthusiasm alive.

We can talk about any and all cigars on this forum. There are no boundaries. So feel free to talk up or talk down the cigars that you don't like. Just don't talk them down if you haven't smoked one.

So...come on and introduce yourselves. PLEASE! Post a separate introduction in this Forum. We want to welcome you to the Social Cigar Forum!

well hey guys. Im 18, will be a senior in high school, im a runner and a swimmer ive always smoked phillies and swisher sweets the my older brother(Chris Bourgraf) introduced me to these types of cigars which im glad he did. and since ive always smoked phillies and all im still mostly into flavored cigars like acid. But to be honest im trry to steer a bit away from them and expand my selection of cigars. Mostly bold, my brother(chris) made some suggestions to me concerning bolder cigars which im starting to like. haha i just rememberd that my friends and i would always steal from my dadsd humidor when we were younger and couldnt ger any 18 year old to buy us some phillies. Not knowing that the one that said cohiba on it was actually $10 ahha. and its kinda hard to smoke these cigars because kids my age or in highschool dont even know about them and arent willing to sit down for an hour and have one(i luckily found the drew estate wafers) so and help or advice in any way to get me going would be awesome

I joined recently and am always lurking here but not always posting. I have been smoking under a year but recently am enjoying Macanudo robusto, Gisperts, Oliveros 1927. I enjoy my time here and plan on posting more.

If you don't introduce yourselves on the "Introductions - New Members of Social Cigar" Forum, how can we get to know you?

Hi all, just joined today. I just happened to stumble upon this place through internet search and decided to join. I'm 46 years old, enjoy a good cigar, fine wine, good single malt scotches, good cognacs and Martinis, play acoustic guitar, enjoy the Rolling Stones music mostly but a lot of other music also. I also enjoy getting together with my friends every Friday night for a good game of pool or darts and smoking good cigars and drinking the beverages mentioned above plus tunes. We also jam once in awhile on the acoustics to amuse ourselves. :-) .
I work as a Corrections Officer at a prison so the get together with friends is always a nice outlet. Cigars I like are Camacho's, RP's, Monticristo Media Noche, CAO and others. Not into flavored cigars or cheap machine made cigars as I like the offerings of the hand rolled natural leaf. My biggest temptation is that I live about 4 miles from the CI Superstore. ;-)
That's about it for now... Glad I found this place and glad to be here...

Hello Bryan !
I don't know much about cigars but hope to learn more here! You do sound friendlier than some of the forums! Thanks for making us newbies feel welcome!!!!!!

Hello, my name is Alexander. I have a shop in San Diego called Racine & Laramie. I don't get online as much as I used to because my computer is broken, so I haven't been terribly active here so far.

Anyhow, I smoke pipes a lot and I dress funny. Hello.

Regards,
Alexander

Hello Kyle, CamachoMan and Alexander!

Welcome to the Social Cigar Forum!

You guys should really each start your own Introduction Thread to be Welcomed Properly. Your introduction will get lost in this thread. And we don't want to miss out on the chance to welcome each and every New Member in their own Introduction threads.

And Kyle, It feels much friendlier here because we are much friendlier here than a lot of cigar bulletin boards and forums. Many BBs and Forums can claim to be the friendliest. But only one CAN be the friendliest. And I know the difference.

It is because I felt the same way on many other boards that I tossed my hat into the ring here on this board. I felt much the same way about several boards that I have frequented in the past. Some of those boards almost made it a point to single out the Newbies and give them a rough time. You will not find that here.

We have enough problems with the Anti-Smoking Zealots that we encounter on a daily basis. Why would anyone wany to join a board or forum which focuses on something that they love, only to be chatised and talked down to. We will occasionally bust each other's balls, but it is only in jest. ;-]

So start those separate Introduction Threads. You will be Welcomed in a proper fashion!

:-D

A good friend of mine told me about this place.. looks like I will fit in well.
Always nice to find a place where your fellow cigar smokers can relax and discuss issues without some politically correct assclown screaming about something...

Thanks and I look forward to meeting a lot of you in the future!
