What happened to the everyday cigar? I only smoked one cigar today and that was OK. Why, is what you ask. Well, let me tell you. In this day of super premiums and fifty dollar cigars, I often find myself just wanting a cigar. Don't get me wrong, it WILL be a good one. Enough digression for now. I ended up smoking a Camacho Corojo Diadema. Not the most common size within the line, but one of my favorites when time allows. It was everything I want out of a good smoke and half the price of something that may be the buzz or the latest from some newly popular maker. I love those smokes too, but the Corojo was one of those cigars that became my engagement ring in the cigar world and matriculated me into a new realm of smoking. In summation, the simple Corojo puro is what I have always told people is my "daily smoker" and gives me what I want for an affordable price. So, in this day and age of "what's new on the shelf," we need to remember what made the shelf prove it was buttressed, those cigars that everybody can buy and enjoy every day. In fact, I'm going to have one more cigar, my body buzz from the diadema has worn off.
This is an older post and until 4 years ago I probably would not have thought twice about it. However since then I have had to give up the job that allowed me to smoke the good cigars Camacho, La Flor Dominicana DL 700 Maduro's etc. that I loved. Due to Acute Thorasic and Cervical Stenosis, which landed me on disability.
Now just like you Jake, I am looking for the good everyday cigar, which for me would be the full bodied maduro's in my favorite size of 60 ring guage. I love my cigars, and loved having one every day. Now have been reduced to on or two a week if I am indeed that lucky.
Now I wish and yearn for a good full bodied cigar, even a bundled cigar, does anyone out there know if there are Camacho Triple Maduro's available in bundles, or any of the stronger full bodied cigars? Also if anyone knows of bundles in the 60 ring size? I miss my daily cigar, the one caviat and escape from this horrible disease that I have, all I ask for is just one affordable "EVERYDAY" cigar.
Any information you guys can give would be greatly appreciated!
