when they first announced it was going down i didnt even think much of it. now i freakin love it. my take is, it seems like it should have always been this way, not because of the excitement, but because thats how the starting grid lines up, why should they change the way they start whether there on the first lap, or the 100th lap. especially when the lucky dog gives back a lap every caution.
Double-file restarts provide another level of unpredictability that heightens the excitement of racing. Yes, in a matter of seconds cars that took weeks to create can become mangled chunks of metal. Drivers that were once in the Chase for the Sprint Cup can be on the outside looking in.
But if the restarts enable fans to rekindle their interest and provide multiple storylines in the closing laps, then the practice has accomplished what NASCAR had hoped for.
that is the whole reason nascar did this . it add's a level of excitement for the fan ...
let's face it , they race for $$$$$$$ . without the fan , there is no $$$$$$.
my view , I Likey !!!
