Well, I certainly feel like I've met a lot of great "red state" folks on SC, people whose political beliefs couldn't be more different than my own, and made some true friends, and I'm very happy about that! The political discourse in our country has grown so divisive in recent years, and if Obama or any politician at any stage of the government can overcome the distrust of the other side of the aisle to form real consensus, I will definitely support them! I hope Obama can be that candidate - although big money and the pressures of getting elected seem to be pushing him further away from his original message of innovation back to the more black and white phony messages that politicians always throw at us to scare us into not voting for the other guy. The debates will hopefully be a forum where both major candidates can rise to the occasion and give us something to vote for.
