Sub question:
Favorite composer of all time?

For me its is pretty simple. I don't even have to wring my hands once over it.

Hands down: Danny Elfman.
And probably his score for the original Batman and Planet of the Apes are tied at the top of my list.

So, while I can never chose one movie....I have no problem with a composer!

If you're talking about film composers, I'd have to say Bernard Herrman, who composed music for Citizen Kane, Fahrenheit 451, Psycho, North by Northwest and many others. Not sure if I could pick one movie that stands out in my mind from the rest, though.

Favorite composer? It's a tough call between John Williams and John Barry. Both are defined by their big action scores - but their smaller, more personal scores are testaments to their considerable talents.

With that said, I'd have to say that Williams score for "Superman" is still alternately thrilling and moving.

Ah, but what about Nightbreed? That had some awesome tribally drums in it. I love the music for Run, Lola, Run. I had that in the cd player for ages. And Immortal Beloved, yes, it's all Beethoven and I still love it! So there!

And what about Angelo Badalamenti? I'm sure I butchered the spelling, but the guy that scores everything for David Lynch! I bet you forgot ALL about him!

Nah...while I like David's films...the scores doesn't stand out to me like Elfmans work.
