Not trying to bend anybody's nose out of joint, but wanted to pass along that I am already missing having the Tuesday tastings at Party Source's patio. Don't believe I am the only one who feels this way. My main reasons are the increased costs, and potential for large crowds at Beer Sellar during Reds games and perhaps other crowds making the place just too darn loud and crowded. And in spite of our newly issued parking passes, folks who can't arrive before say 6pm just may be hard pressed to find a spot, especially during the summer months.

Please share your observations with me, PSers. Again, no slight towards anyone involved with running the events is intended. Heck, I was the one, many moons ago, who first suggested using Beer Sellar during the winter months, to keep the herfs growing. But I really don't wish to go there every week.

Maybe I should have left an 11 ft. pole handy, so folks wouldn't have been afraid to "touch" this thread...
Heck, I must have missed the post stating it was moving to the Sellar permanantly. That suits me better to go there rather than the patio, but my voice really dont count since I don't attend every week lol
This info came from Micah via the Party Source e-mail list, Brian. And of course your opinion counts.
I haven't been to a tuesday night outing yet, and i don't know where the Beer Sellar is, but I have to say that the patio at Party Source looks inviting and twenty-four year ago, I lived in the top floor of a house, (above a woman who worked thrid shift, as my landlord would say, if you know what I mean) on Berry Avenue in Bellvue, so the location at the Party Source holds some fond familiar feelings.

We were planning on attending next tuesday, but we lost our babysitter for a while,so it'll have to wait.
I don't mind Beer Sellar as much as the folks in our group who'd actually like to drink cold draft beer on a Tuesday night. IMO the folks at BS should find a way to improve this part of the situation. On a more selfish note, their mixed drink prices are high compared to many other places in northern Kentucky, but at least they give me my soft drinks for free after I've had my portion of rum for the evening.
Most of the guys at our table expressed that they would rather be at the Party Source Patio in the summer. For one it is nice to have the selection of microbrews in the Ps cooler.(from 6.99- 9.99)Last week it seemed the only special on beer was Warstiner and a domestic,I think miller light for 4.50.I know some people did not like being seperated from the rest of the tasting when we were outside. But overall Jimmy Mac and his crew does a great job.I liked when spring came we moved to the PS patio instead of going to the Beer Sellar year round. It was refreshing to go to different venue
for the summer months. With that said ,I understand that the cigar tastings have outgrown the PS patio and in order
to keep the tastings growing you need more room.
Update on this thread: My wife and I have been attending the tuesday night at the Beer Sellar and except for the price of drinks, we have enjoyed the cigar tasting tremendously. Parking has been a breeze, the view of the Ohio river and the bridges is awe inspiring and the crowds seem happy. I would note that after the tasting the loud jukebox and waitresses bussing the tables seemed to give the que that we needed to leave, and I noticed quite a few people did. I wanted to set there, have a drink and smoke another cigar, but having conversation with your friends over the music was a pain. I really didn't see another crowd of people coming in so I didn't see the need for the loud music.

But we have enjoyed it and plan on being regulars as long as we have a baby sitter.
I've only been to a couple at the Party Source, because I basically just started coming. But having been there 3 times, I found it difficult on 2 of them to find a table for the Rutan Mafia. Probably mostly because we were running late. I do aggree that the Patio felt more like a back yard grill out or something. But I have enjoyed the Beer Seller, and the view of the river is great also. But I also agree "WHAT IS UP WITH THE MUSIC" being so loud towards the end of the night. That does feel like a message to go home.
I'd prefer to be at the party source
So, I'm one of the new folks that has only experienced the cigar tasting at the Beer Sellar...and as such, I couldn't tell you how great things were...but I can tell you that I LOVE it! All week, I look forward to going down to BS to sit by the river, split a cheap pitcher of Warsteiner with a friend, and smoke a couple of premium new cigars at a knockout price.

With that said, I have no idea how it used to be, but I'm so glad to have this magnificent place to meet cigarfolk, learn about cigars, and relax with some beer...and I'm worried that changing anything would throw off my new favorite thing!

Cheers,
Justin
All I can tell you is that being so far away here in NM I envy you guys the chance to enjoy a good cigar in the company of other cigar lovers. I have a small group of fellow B/SOTL that meet at our local brewery, but on a good night there are never more than 15 of us. I know I have read about the large number of people at TPS and as my GF has family in Cinn., I was looking forward to one day joining you all at TPS but when we go I will get driving directions to BS and look forward to meeting you all, probably this summer.
Erik it would be a pleasure to enjoy a cigar and some fine microbrews with you.Look us up if come into town.
