Romney quit the race today. So now it is down to McCain and Huckabee, and Huckabee's chances don't look too good.

My prediction is that McCain will get the Rep nomination and Obama will get the Dem nomination and McCain wins the white house.

I wish I could share your confidence Kevin. With the voter apathy in this country I think anything can happen.

One thing that just may happen is the infuence of the running mate on this race. Previously the running mates were the necessary evil. This time I think it may get any of these candidates the votes that they would not normally get since they all have baggage of some kind.
Yeah, I would have liked to see Fred work harder on his Campaign. Personally, I was rooting for Rudy, but his campaign failed him miserably in Florida.

Now the race is very close and it can go either way. I think I read somewhere that both campaigns have armies of lawyers ready to contest voting results that are suspect. I'm pretty sure, they'll have their work cut out for them.
police forces? Try the F'in US Army ...........

if people don't see us falling into a socialist type of country then the government has done a perfect job of keeping the wool pulled over our eyes.

Consequence Management Response Force -- That is scary as crap!

"The Times column also reported that the Army brigade "may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control . . ." It seems that the Army's new domestic duties also include "traffic control" as well as subduing "unruly or dangerous individuals."
According to Fatimah Ali, who writes for the Phila Inquirer, if McCain is elected, there will be all out race and class wars. Here's a quote from her article, "If McCain wins, look for a full-fledged race and class war, fueled by a deflated and depressed country, soaring crime, homelessness - and hopelessness!".

I'm not saying there aren't racists on the right, but the threat she gave is of people on the left rioting if Barack is NOT elected. Not those on the right threatening to riot if he is.
Why wait? Why not start rioting right now!
Like the city of Philadelphia has any room to talk about, well, anything when it comes to politics. Some of the most corrupt leaders in this country reside about two and a half hours north of the Nations Capital.

In a city that rivals the death rate of any city in this country - not to exclude the back slapping, cash handing, tax through the roof, the people of that city should have started rioting years ago.
