Dstrug369,
I have been smoking a pipe sine I was 18. i am 39 now I still enjoy sitting back with some good aromatic or flavored tobacco and relaxing a bit. I have a couple of good english blend that are not too harsh to those around me. The more you get into it the more you wiil enjoy it. Good smokes!

also i would tell people to start with an aromatic, like lane 1-q and a non aromatic so they can see the huge difference

hmm, I would start by telling people that are interested that pipe smoking is something they can try for less than $20. All they need is a corn cob and a couple oz of tobacco. I would tell them that one of the cool things about pipe smoking is there is no limits to the tobacco. You can get a really strong blend that is all tobacco taste, or you can get apple cobler flavored tobacco. You should personally try the pipe and work on packing it as that has a lot to do with how well it stays lit. If it goes out constantly it is annoying... then you can teach the people that you get into pipe smoking. Let me think on it more during lunch and ill add to this

I finally talked Mike into carrying pipes and cannisters, any advice for some novice pipe smokers that I can pass on to my membership to get them smoking.

I totaly agree Cedric. I've only been smoking a pipe for a month or so and already know it's for me. Up to about 3 or 4 bowls a day now. I still enjoy a good cigar, but for relaxing and quiet time alone to ease the weary mind, only a pipe.

i agree! there are also tons of choices of tobacco that help make it so that anyone can find one they like

Cigars are great; but there is nothing like a good pipe to relax the mind and warm the spirit.
