Pyrat is very nice, especially coming from Patron (I'm no longer a fan of their tequila).  While in FL (July 2012) I enjoyed 1/2 a bottle of Centenario Anejo.  Pretty tasty rum!

Pyrat was definitely nice. I haven't had it in a while and I heard that the recipe changed pretty dramatically from the old stock that I once loved.

The Lash is small batch and I think it's mostly available in the north east. I know it can be ordered online from a few places, but shipping sucks and you can't ship booze to private addresses in some states.

@Tony & Buddha, I'm not a spiced rum gal, but the marketing scheme has my attention, and I may try it the next time I'm at the bar.  I've had Bacardi's spiced rum, and it was ok.  

Now, what is this "The Lash" I know nothing about???  I guess I need to venture to the wine & spirits store this weekend!

Rum flavored cigars I had when I started smoking.  I've had cognac soaked cigars and I wasn't really fond of it, so don't know if I would care for the rum soaked cigars either.

It's too bad that The Lash isn't available in CA yet. I got a bottle sent to me to review and it was damn fine.

I've recently fallen in love with a rum known as The Lash. It's a spiced rum, a style i'm usually not a fan of, but it's spiced completely naturally and it's really well balanced. It's made in the old style of spiced rums before it became a way to mask an inferior product. 

I think that a rum flavored cigar can be nice from time to time, but most of them are junk.
