Every year I like to grab as many magazines about great summer wines I can get, the idea is to search out and try each one and pair it with the fresh seafood we get here at the beach. This month I will list the treasures of these selections and save you some time, I will include what I think is a outstanding dish to serve with it.

 

A to Z Riesling 2007 from Oregon:

I have to tell you that I was surprised with this one, usually my selections from the state of Oregon does not include whites, just not a fan of their grapes. However this one had fresh aromas of lime, white flowers, and citrus that jumped from the glass to my nose. With real complex nuances of strawberries, orange, blossoms and spice I couldn't really believe this one was out of that state, more like a Cali Valley vintage.

This wine deserves a great piece of grilled fish served with linguini and steamed clams on the side
