I bit on the box when it was on sale, after smelling them at CigarFest 2011 they just smelt like they would taste good and I was pleased when I got them. I went with the Black Knight because I really enjoy the thick meaty taste of a dark maduro, and the mace line because I enjoy the larger ring sizes.
Overall the smoke is very a nice balance, leaning more to the "full" side of the flavor and power, really rich tobacco flavors mix with an earthy and coffee tone with a peppery finish and the traditional "sweetness" imparted by the Maduro wrapper. The burn is always very even and fairly slow. Construction is top notch, and the draw is balanced as well, not too tight, but not too easy. The wrapper is oily and toothy and provides a great sensation in hand. It's hard to compare this blend with another because of how the flavors are balanced, but I can say that of all the ones I've smoked out of the box thus far, I haven't had a single issue with burn, band glue, leaf crack, draw, or lighting. If you'd like to trade 2 for 2, I'd be more than happy to trade out some for something I haven't had before, PM me and let me know!
