People make me laugh!

In every business you hear and see things that make you laugh sometimes; but nothing makes me laugh more than attempts my people to get free cigars. We do provide free cigars in controlled environment or events like roll out parties, charity golf tournaments and etc., but we do just mail them out to all who ask.            I learned this lesson the best way, the hard way. When I opened my first store I took free cigars to the bar next door and a private club down the street. One day I went…See More

Hometown:
Miami, Fl
About Me:
When I have a good cigar and have only one I smoke it to the nub and then find my office scissors and enjoy the rest. These cigars all passed the nub test without biting back.
I am often asked if I have a problem with people not taking me seriously. I was a financial advisor with no real cigar business experience and I was not Cuban but I took a job in a Cigar factory and learned. I simply outworked everyone in the building read and learned doing every job no one else wanted to do. At some point I became a retail cigar dealer and after my mentor left the firm; school was out and it was time to move to the next logical step. That was to design and build a good cigar and then build a factory to make them. To be successful I had to surround myself with people who knew more a about cigars and tobacco than I did and to work with them as partners. I'm a dreamer, and I always dream of new ideas, new concepts, new taste profiles, so we were always progressive and took a chance.
We are a boutique house and will always be so. Being a boutique allows us the freedom to try new blends and tobaccos and to take advantage of a tobacco that may be exceptional but in limited supply. We like that it means we can give our customers a cigar that no one else on the planet can supply.

Favorite Cigar Brand:
I have to many favorites to mention or better you do not have enough space. I am really not a trendy guy. Our company makes cigars for people who work for their money and we try to give value for the buck. That is the way I chose cigars for myself. The only question in my mind when I buy is it a value.
What cigar accessories do you own?
Very few I have a cutter that I use spareily. I never carry my cigar carry pouch because when I have cigars I smoke them.
How many box purchases do you make a year?
I make about 1.5 million cigars a year
Did someone invite you to Social Cigar? And if so who?
Found by accident thank God!
Favorite Local Cigar Shops/ Herf Hangouts
No favorite; but any store with an open door and management that knows how to treat customers. A "Hi yall doing' Store

NEVER IN MY LIFE

Posted on December 4, 2010 at 11:17am 1 Comment

TO ALL OF YOU,

We the cigar people those of us in this country and other who enjoy cigars are finding ourselves under attack for enjoying a product that is legal. Before we left California to come here to build this business I was floored at how foolish the law of my country were becoming. For $150.00 you could buy a weed card without medical exam and smoke dope anywhere; but you could not enjoy a cigar in the park. However they did make an…
