"I think they're neat.  Flavored, spicy, but too short for me.  I love large ring gauge cigars and the heft in this cigar is great.  More woodsy notes came to my nose/palate.    I'm learning to enjoy smaller ring…"

Tabocs Baez Serie H

I dunno when this one was released but it flew relatively under my radar until I spotted it at a Pepin event and finally got around to giving it a try today. Pretty excellent cigar, especially at the price point of $6.50 each. Big leather flavors slowly transition to a well-seasoned steak and potato flavor. Just the perfect amount of spices (and an almost unnameable number of them, too!) The construction is perfect, not a single touch up needed on a somewhat breezy day. I only wish I had a size…See More

Bonita 18th Anniversary

This is the "house" blend for Bonita Cigar Shop, located in Bonita Springs, Florida. I ordered a few of their cigars online (fiver) and really enjoyed it. It's made by Willie Herrera in Miami, and clearly shows a lot of love and patience thrown into a cigar. It features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper around Dominican and Nicaraguan tobacco rolled in the entubado fashion . The flavors are primarily black pepper and a strong cedar, with cinnamon, citrus, chocolate, and others all floating in and…See More

Unico Series Dirty Rat

I love The Rat. It's one awesome cigar that delivers a ton of flavor for such a tiny cigar. There are many jokes to be made about that, I realize, but the flavor is superb, tasting like red meat, coffee, coco, and black pepper. There is also a TON of smoke, and the Rat is just something that I enjoy smoking. I'm going to need to track some more down, because I'm really digging them. Full review with pictures at Ubi Cigar! "The HC sieres overall, most notably the Criollo. I like that particular wrapper, but not at all on this cigar. I was hopeful as I am such a fan of Xikar, but imho, they should stick with cutters."

Ashton VSG Eclipse (Tubo)

Simply an awesome cigar, though there is nothing simple about this complex, tasty treat. Bit of a hit price-wise ($16.00) but truly worth a try. Burns really nice, and has possibly the most intense anise and cinnamon flavors I've ever gotten out of any cigar, period. Great flavors all the way down to the nub. Xikar HC Series Criollo Grande

I got a few of the new Grande vitola (6x60) Xikars and did a full review of the Criollo-wrapped cigar. Really enjoyed it; there were burn issues, but the flavor was great. The price tag runs $9.50 which is a bit steep, but you get about a two hour smoke with some really terrific flavor. With so many great cigars for under seven bucks, however, this is a tough sell. Still, I think I'll probably get a few for those times where you just want to relax. Great flavors of black pepper, cayenne, and…See More

Hello Joe, thanks for the add, I also like Nica Libre, it's great to discover those little unknown brands, that's where the fun is at, liking a Padrón is a no brainer! I checked out your page and it's great, I specially liked the "cigar moments" article, I felt I could have written it myself! take care and keep smokin'!

Thanks to Anti-Smoking Nazi Bloomberg, there are very few places in NYC where one can light up a cigar anymore. We do have a few designated cigar lounges, but they're over rated and charge a ridiculous cutting fee. I have yet to find an affordable cigar lounge that doesn't tack on all sorts of silly surcharges just for lighting up.

Thanks all. Glad to see us New Yorkers are welcomed here, despite the liberal and politically corrupt cesspool of a state we live in. I beg to differ despite being a native NY resident.
