IPA would be fine if there isn't too much mold. If its a small inexpensive humi I would personally toss it. Make sure if you use IPA you let it air dry for a day. Then reestablish the humidity for a week or so and see if the mold returns. Maybe…

SC is a cool place to be as well. I grew up there or should I say down there most of my like, now I live on the Central Coast; less traffic, smog, and people. Actually I miss some of the nightlife though.
