Well, Kingsmill is still there but they've fallen in stature.
GovernorsLand, Ford's Colony, etc.... You must got through here to get to Chesapeake if driving.
We have a brand new cigar store/bar called
"Havana Connection". Stop by and smoke is on me.
It feels like it was a while back since I visited Emerson's. I'm currently in Ft Drum, NY for work. BTW welcome to SC...it's a great place and an even better bunch of folks. ;-)
My suggestion, decide to do something else with you life....what insane person wants to be an attorney anyway...lol.
When are you taking the LSAT? October? I would start studying now (just to familiarize yourself with the exam, and start understanding basic concepts, then once you get closer, start taking the exam under real time conditions. I didn't use Kaplan (used the Puerto Rican Legal Defense Fund tutoring), but I believe Kaplan is supposed to be the best in exam taking.
Visit the LSAT site (www.lsac.org - I think) and download some of the pass exams.
Touro is a good school, but as it is somewhat new, it is not highly ranked on the US News rankings. Many schools are excellent for international law and, for career purposes, it is the best to go to the best ranked school that your friend can get admitted to.

NYU has a very, very good program. He should check US News ratings of the various programs.

Touro, by reputation at least, is not a particularly good law school generally.
"International law" is a pretty broad notion--not sure what your friend is after--but as far as schools that are associated with it you tend to hear names like Columbia, NYU, Georgetown, Duke and Cornell (the latter two have joint JD/LLM programs in international something-or-other, or at least they did when I was applying). Probably Harvard as well.
Has your friend checked out the US News website? They probably have an international law program section.

Touro is not too good of a school, unless he plans to practice on Long Island...also last I heard they were talking about closing the law school in the next few years! I would say, think twice and keep looking.

[One of the partners verbally gave me some insight into Touro. He said it was started as a school where devout Jewish people could study and feel comfortable, being surrounded by other Jewish people. He also said it is considered to be a very good school, but he doesn’t know about the law school in particular. He also mentioned having an article about the man who started Touro, but I have not had a chance to see that article yet.]
Sorry I haven't had a chance to get that law school info to you yet. I've been crazy busy at my job (but then I usually am). I promise I will get it to you next week, hopefully on Tuesday.
In the meantime, hope the weekend is a relaxing and fun one for you!
Karl
Please ... I'm not worried about her. I wear the pants around here. Thanks again, about the law info. I look forward to hearing from you. ... Hold on, here comes my wife ... I'll write you back later.
