I'm a 32yo Baltimore native, who's recently returned to Charm City after having most recently lived in Austin, TX, for the last six years. Before that, I lived in New Haven, CT. I'm pretty well educated, with master's degrees from both Yale (2004) and The University of Texas at Austin (2008). I'm hoping to earn my PhD some day.
Beyond cigars, I'm avid reader, political junkie, theory/philosophy head, and film buff. But nothing beats a good cigar.
I'm also just beginning to get into pipes. Just generally enjoy Austin, and certainly interested in meeting/connecting with other cigar/pipe man.
Local guys, hit me up! Love to meet to folks over a smoke. Still haven't made my way into Cross Street Tobacco.
STILL LOOKING FOR WORK. Been doing part-time retail, while searching for something more full time. Best job would be working in a cigar shop or more generally in the cigar industry.
I've done blogging on other (mostly academic) topics, but would be great to contribute to some of the cigar blogs out there. I have also published in more traditional print venues (both academic and popular/journalistic). Additionally, I have an extensive editorial background, experience generating copy for radio, and have worked as a voice-over artist. Just offering this in case anyone might be interested. I have a resume and CV for anyone that might want to see them.

.... but will try anything that sounds good, and always enjoy free samples! Seems that I have to try Comacho, since it's all over so many profiles here as a brand of choice.
My preferred size is usually around 6x60, and usually not below a 55 ring.
bought 1 box this year and lots of individual sticks... generally a poor grad student looking for work. Any help supporting our mutual love is always welcome!

Right now we are not hiring anyone. We just opened almost a year ago and it is just me, my partner Heather, and one employee, Jen. Otherwise, we would definitely consider you.
Who is having a Perdomo to celebrate the Labor Day weekend? I've got a Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniv. Champagne Epicure on deck. What's everybody else having?
Planned on pairing it with a good lager or with E & J. Any suggestions?
Another new Perdomo sampler I hadn't seen previously... called the Lucky 7, saw it on Best Cigar Blog. Anyone tried it? I've had the Lot 23 and Habano Corojo, but look forward to some of the others.
I'm behind on my posting. This one was from last night, a Perdomo Habano Corojo Toro. Have had them before, but I'm working down my sampler.
This one held a very long ash, it burned down almost to the label and it finally fell off.
Yum! Just had the Cabinet Series 10th Anniversary Maduro. I think it may have been the best of the sampler thus far, I'm working them down. Had a lot of spice and complexity, was a very nice smoke. I really tip my hat to Perdomo, this one is a…
Posted a pic in my smokin' album of the 10th Anniversary Criollo-Natural I had last night. I'll have to buy another one later and give it a second whirl. This one was not what I've come to expect from Perdomo. The ash was loose and…
Today, when I got to "checking" on my cigars, I realized something was different from the picture. Looks like they pulled a substitution on me, but I guess that has happened to others, too? I was supposed to have got one of the 10th Anniv.…
