I went back and actually looked at the humi, here's my updated opinion. First of all the beads, properly moistened, will maintain your humidity levels. Seasoning a humi with beads alone will take eons. It's fairly large and the tray's…

If it makes you feel better I just picked up a couple of small ones and one took a week to season, the other 4 days. I know, that doesn't make you feel better, but your cigars will thank you for it.

I'll wipe down with distilled H Double 0 for a minimum of three days, twice a day, and then make sure that the hydrometer (digital only) reads at least 70º for another three days. Take into account that it's not humid in the winter in…

A bad seal or it's just absorbing the hell out of the moisture. Did you wipe down the inside with distilled water? How long have you been letting it sit?

yep, yep, yep, yep. Patience is the key. make sure you check the seal too. If it was left open the lid may have warped, that would be bad. Just make sure the humi is up to your preferred humidity before you put the sticks in.
