THE MADURO... more than just a club
The Maduro began, in its business model, as a safe haven of sorts for cigar smokers. When identifying the commonalities in the types of individuals within the community that engage in cigar smoking as a practice, certain qualities became evident.

It takes a certain flexibility of thought to want to embrace a practice that is uncharacteristic of what is common within your community. Something that implies an interest in cultural expansion… along with an interest and an attention to detail that is in and of itself not common thinking.

This uncommon thinking is also consistent with a different social aspect and approach to life in general. Upon reflection, this systematic approach to life also implied other attributes… attributes that lent themselves to a more socially productive individual.

A train of thought... a movement... had begone that was less about smoking and more about being.

The feeling was, that in order to maximize the potential of this socially higher-functioning individual, a protective and supportive systemic atmosphere was necessary… an atmosphere containing elements of exclusion, with access to planning resources, and a think-tank of sorts in which one could have access to information and services for the execution of ideas. The focus became different… it became a goal to build a construct of support and service for like-minded and forward thinking individuals, otherwise without access to such a vehicle… and house it in an exclusive and protective environment.

This house would be known as The Maduro.

We refer to it as the “M”.
