- I run a blog about cigars from all over the world. Unlike most other blogs, I try to add some dry humor and anegdotes to my reviews, to make them sound less like baking recipes. A few days ago I went to the city to meet a friend I hadn't seen in a long time. Since he was running late because of business, I decided to shorten my time with a cigar. Since they didn't have any Cubans across the street from the restaurant, I bought a Macanudo Crystal. I had tried the Maduros by this brand, and they were so-so, which is why I expected an OK cigar... how wrong I was...

What a weird cigar... From the first puff it simply tasted strange and stayed that way all to the end (which in this case came fast, since I dropped it after the first half). I can't really determine what flavors I recognized in it, but none of them was pleasant nor seemed to belong in a cigar. It was sweet, but in a cheap way, and had some overpowering bad aromas coming through...…
