- The Reverend is a simple man who wants to enjoy communing with his Cigar Congregation while enjoying a fine bourbon and a fine cigar without being persecuted by devilish G-Men or oppressive Smoke Police.
The Rev has been smoking cigars for over 20 years - it's the only hobby that's stuck with the Rev through his adult life. His best ideas, conversations and inspirations have come during cigar sessions.
The Rev works in healthcare and is an ordained non-denominational minister who's passion in life is to convert as many people to the Sacrement of the Cigar as possible - can he get a witness from the congregation?
The Rev will also gladly officiate any nuptials or funerals for travel expenses and a cigar/bourbon honorarium.

- Living in NOLa, the Rev's gear must be able to function in rain and hurricane conditions:
The Wenger stainless steel Swiss Army Cigar Knife: (excellent) cutter, corkerscrew, serrated blade scissors, can & bottle opener AND cigar poker. This allows the Rev in a hurricane situation, with one blessed tool, to open Spaghetti-O's, Yellowtail Shiraz, MRE's and to clip his trusty Bauza Torpedo . And lest we forget - a knife.
The Rev's humidor is a big cedar-lined Igloo cooler humidified by multiple Dri-Mistat cylinders. Air- and watertight & completely portable for the fairly regular evacuations endured by The 504 between June 1 & November 31.
The Rev lights his fire with a Scripto wind resistant B-B-Q pit lighter. He's given up on any lighters costing more than $3.00. Just buy 5 of these babies and you're all set for any kinda weather. Lose it? So what! Plunk down $3.00 and get another one.
The Rev also uses 5- and 15-stick Otter Box travel humidors (also waterproof) and multiple leather 2/3 stick pocket carriers for evenings out in non-Katrina-like conditions.

Rev be back working and writing y'all/
The Rev is finally done with his job search and has found gainful employment as Director of Nursing at a local private healthcare facility, The road was long and frustrating but made easier by all the prayers and messages many of you good folks sent along. Hallelujah and glory to the Good Lord above for sending that job!!!

Rev Singing Happy Birthday America
Rev is singing and hopping and whooping it up for the Birthday of THE greatest country in the world, nah, THE USA!!! Democratic convention besieged by protesters
As the Democratic National Convention gets underway in Chicago, thousands of antiwar demonstrators take to Chicago's streets to protest the Vietnam War and its support by the top Democratic presidential candidate, Vice President Hubert Humphrey. During the four-day convention, the most violent in U.S. history, police and National Guardsmen clashed with protesters outside the International Amphitheater, and hundreds of people, including innocent bystanders, were beaten by the Chicago police. The violence even spilled into the convention hall, as guards roughed up delegates and members of the press, including CBS News correspondent Mike Wallace, who was punched in the face. On August 29, Humphrey secured the nomination and the convention ended.
In the convention's aftermath, a federal commission investigating the convention described one of the confrontations as a "police riot" and blamed Chicago Mayor Richard Daley for inciting his police to violence. Nevertheless, eight political radicals--the so-called "Chicago Eight"--were arrested on charges of conspiring to incite the violence, and in 1969 their trial began in Chicago, sparking new waves of protests in the city.
