My first choice will always be coffee, though like others have mentioned, I generally do not go this route in the afternoon. My next favorites are port, scotch, and some really nice bourbon barrel aged stouts and porters make wonderful pairings too

Random Thoughts/Feelings

Posted on November 11, 2009 at 7:17pm 1 Comment

Just wanted to say first,

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you who have made this site what it is for me this past year (almost a year I think); all of those who have given/ received PIFs, bombs, secret santa, box splits, trades. The moderators who keep things cool. And Camacho for being our gracious host.

Recent observations/realizations I have discovered today while having a morning cigar & coffee.

Enjoying a good cigar by yourself is not really… Continue

Moving time

Posted on May 12, 2009 at 11:05pm 6 Comments

Well, I have to throw in the towel so to speak. I graduated at the beginning of May 2008 and have now been unemployed since September of 2008. My lease is up at the end of May so I am gonna have to move back in with my parents who live in Grand Rapids, MI

It really makes me sad to leave IL because of the resources, friends, and job possibilities I thought I had. But I am going to have to try my luck and skill in a new state. Plus it will be easier on the bank account. My parents absolutely… Continue

Padilla Obsidian Belicoso

Posted on January 28, 2009 at 12:00am 2 Comments

I felt compelled to write this review becase A): I havent done one yet. B): Because this particular cigar was such a suprise to me. Allow me to explain:

The Padilla Obsidian was a cigar I was looking at for a long time and wanted to try it, yet I never got around to it because they were rather expensive and there are so many I still have yet to try. One week before xmas, there was a special deal on C-Bid for a ten pack of these for 19.99. Considering they go for around 5 bucks apiece… Continue

Help! Mystery Cigar Question

Posted on December 11, 2008 at 7:00pm 6 Comments

Ever since I started smoking cigars, I have kept just about every single band from every single cigar I have smoked. The other day, I was just randomly rummaging around and came across a particular band

that I vividly remember from about 5-6 years ago when I first started enjoying cigars. Its clearly a Romeo y Julieta band, but in black with large red '125' emblazoned right in the middle of it. All I remember about it was that it was a churchill size, probably a maduro, but what was really… Continue

Youth does not always have its advantages

Posted on October 19, 2008 at 2:32pm 13 Comments

I recently just turned 24. I have been enjoying cigars since I was 17 when my best friends dad gave both of us our first cigar, a Plasencia Organica. Ever since then I have been fascinated by cigars and particularly enjoy having one in the company of good people (and a good beverage!).

At a younger age, it was far easier to find time and money to continue such an interest. To this day I still manage to find time to sit down with a good cigar at least 2-3 times a week. But with money… Continue

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
