Marble Devil  Ah- another cocktial that is absolutely phenomenal...if i do say so myself...yes, it does take a little preperation-  just do it okay!  It is well worth it... First Off i love that my favourite American Whiskey is making a Big Comeback- like so many other thing- it shold never have left!   1 ½ oz. infused rye whiskey (see below) 1 oz. celery simple syrup ½ oz. fresh lemon juice 1 oz. club soda Ice Tools: shaker, strainer Glass: rocks Garnish: lemon twist  Combine first four ingredients in a shaker. Shake well and pour into an ice-filled glass. Top with club soda and garnish with a slice of Lemon.  Pumpernickel-and-Caraway-Infused Rye Whiskey 750 ml. bottle rye (Jim Beam is a fine choice for this) ½ loaf pumpernickel bread, sliced 2 Tbsp. caraway seeds  Toast the slices of pumpernickel and place in a large container with an airtight lid. Toast caraway seeds in a sauté pan over medium heat until they become very fragrant, and add them to the toasted bread. Pour rye over bread and cover. Refrigerate for two to three days. Strain rye into a bottle and discard the bread and caraway seeds.  Celery Simple Syrup 1 ½ cups water 1 cup sugar 1 celery stalk, cleaned and thinly sliced 1 Tbsp. celery seeds  Dissolve water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Add celery and celery seeds and lower heat. Simmer until celery is tender, approximately 10 minutes. Carefully process syrup in a blender until smooth. Strain into a bottle and refrigerate. This amount of Syrup should get you about a dozen drinks- so in most cases that would be a night- for me personally i went through double this amount last Saturday...  and of course the musical selection for this fine cocktail:

Swingin' On the Moon By: Mel Torme

Cigar Selection: John Hay   Pennsylvania Broadleaf Vanilla  36 X 6 A Fine Choice, Quality Smoke that makes the most of the flavours in this Cocktail! Perfect!
