Well it's another spring and that only means one thing here on the Grand Strand "2010 Spring Bike Rally", so here we go again. Almost every business this year will be desperate for that influx of cash needed to sustain them until the summer crowds start coming, it has been a rough winter and sales were hard to come by for most. I won't ever agree with people who wish to sacrifice $350M just for a little less traffic and a more quiet night, lets get real here. The bikers are a huge part of our annual consumer base and should be treated as such, they not only help stabilize the economy in our area but they are some damn nice people to boot. I have had some great times with the crowds of riders that set-up base here in Murrells Inlet, in fact I wish it wasn't just for just one week a year, if it was up to me I would host rallies like that several times a year and local charities could use the funding source. This year I am almost climbing out of my skin with excitement now that I have a tiki bar to witness all the crowds from, this year we are hosting a real good Van Halen tribute band and across the street at SBB they are having an unreal OZZY band. In years past the crowds for these events would grow to almost uncontrolable levels but thanks to our "and I can't believe I'm going to say this" county police there was never any real danger of harm, so thank you. I plan on converting the deck into VIP seating and arranging for cigar girls to walk the parking lots giving everyone a chance to become a new smoker,it should be a great time since I just got the break up notice from the girl I was seeing (I'm sure going to miss her) NOT. So if any of my Social Cigar friends are planning to come down you have a parking spot and seat awaiting you.
p.s.
Any Acid Reps out there call me, they love that cigar
