Rev can't go 3 steps without hearing something about the Swine Flu. Swine flu this and Swine Flu that, blah blah blah. Rev's as concerned with the health and welfare of his fellow cigar smokers as anyone else, but does paranoia need to be the order of the day? Let's get with the facts and get some perspective.

With all the jibba jabba we been hearing about the swine flu, one would think thousands of folks must've got the Porcine Pukes. Wanna hear the matter of fact - it's 160 people nationwide, y'all. One-six-zero.

Know what the real-time mortality rate is as of today? 0.65% and that's based on one death out of the 160 confirmed cases. God's peace be with that one person who passed, but it ain't like people are keeling over dead in the streets at this point.

Take your precautions brothers and sisters. Wash your hands (THE best thing anyone can do to prevent disease transmission). But don't be getting in a panic just quite yet about the Swine Flu.
