I am a bit of a sandwich aficionado. They make the perfect lunch and you can get real creative.

Today I had boar's head honey turkey, with baby spinach, and thinly sliced fresh strawberries. The cheese I use on almost all my sandwiches is sharp provolone. Combined it and cooked it up on the panini grill and it was delicious. Had some carrots and salami/cheese with crackers on the side. Very good lunch!

Any other sandwich aficionados?

Just after New Year's, I slow-cooked a pork roast on my grill with mesquite wood chips. I seasoned the roast in garlic and kosher salt, cooked in the grill and then sliced it thin. I piled the slices onto thick cheddar-garlic bread and topped with swiss cheese and a mushroom-onion mix that I cooked in worcestire and then put the whole thing in the oven to make some outstanding panini-style sammiches. The family loved them.

i got 2 sammiches.
1st off old school PBJ.. that's right , loaded with creamy not chunky peanutbutter.
2nd = thanksgiving special - left over turkey (white meat ) , left over stuffing , cranberries and mayo ..

New Yorkers should be excluded from this conversation. They only serve as a focal point of my sandwich jealousy.

Occasionally for breakfast I'll order from "Burger Heaven" (they have great breakfast): 2 eggs over easy with bacon (they give you 4 strips) on a kaiser roll. I put my own ketchup and black pepper on it. My former co-worker nicknamed this "heart-attack breakfast." It's really good - lots of runny yolk and whatnot.

Fried Bologna. That and a good Reuben.

Mmmm....or a Philly Cheesesteak. (^_^ )

I'm a big fan of bacon, although I didn't use it today

Wait, I lied. Here are my two all time favorite sandwiches that I don't eat all that often for obvious reasons.

Breakfast: Fried Egg, Corn Beef and Swiss on rye with spicy mustard.

Other: A Tops's burger. It's a 1/3 pound patty of fresh ground beef topped with 1/4 pound of Pastrami. Served on a Kaiser bun with or without shredded lettuce and yellow mustard.

Heart attack sandwiches both!

ok, since I don't have a favorite sandwich, here are the all time best ingredients. thinly sliced rare roast beef. red onions, spicy brown mustard, romaine, tomato, horse radish, provolone, munster and jack cheeses. Whole grain breads.
