I am in the middle of trying of bunch different cigars. This evening I decided to try a Mexican brand Santa Clara 1830 6.5" 40 ring. Boy that was a mistake, It was so bad I can't describe the flavour.
Oh, forgot to mention, I only had like 5 puffs on this and laid it down in the ashtray and the wrapper unraveled. I had used a punch so plenty of cap was left to keep it from doing that... very poor construction. Photo below.
I don't know what the name was but this guy we went golfing with(after smoking our Torano's) gave us what he thought was a fair exchange some cigar that almost killed me. I mean it had to be the worst thing ever rolled on the planet, I think it came out of one of those things you guys call bundles. I will never smoke anything without a label ever again.
I don't much like Quorums. Okay that was too understated, to me they are friggin' awful, stick after stick. Far as bad construction goes I've seen one or more fusterclucks from most every company's products.
I smoked a Don Sebatian once. It was awful. I picked it up at a little shop that had a plexiglass display-style case that I don't think stored the cigars at a desirable level of humidity. I don't even think that I have seen a Don Sebastian again.
Puros Indios Churchill Especial.
Tasted like wet burning paper and amonia, and it had over a year of proper aging under its belt!
I was appalled with this smoke, I gave the other few to an acquaintance who rarely smokes, and to be fair he did enjoy them. I just could not stand them. Strong coffee usually makes an average cigar enjoyable, but nothing could cover up the taste of this dog rocket.
BTW, the draw was ridiculously tight, and the wrapper started falling apart halfway through as well
I had my worst cigar just last night. I bought a DeVinci churchill awhile back and decide it was time to give it a try. What a mistake. The burn was OK but the ash kept flaking off and making a mess. The flavor profile was Tar and expresso. The cigar was harsh, and just overpowering. Never again!
I've seen these in the JR catalog and I wanted to try them but haven't had the chance as of yet. No, you've peaked my interest. Guess it's time to visit my goof friends at JR.
Nicarao ? That USED to be a good smoke. Tropical Tabacco at one time had Don Pepin Garcia blending for him and made some GREAT lines (Nicarao, Lempira Fuerte, and Cacique Miami ) It was great stuff and CHEAP as well.....but they are gone now. The remainders out there aren't nearly as good as when Pepin blended for them !
