You select what you are going to eat based off the cigar you plan to smoke afterward, rather than the other way around? It used to be I would select a cigar to go with what I was planning to eat, but recently I find myself selecting the cigar first...

Perhaps I am reaching a new plateau in my enjoyment of the leaf or just have some major issues....

Good question, whatever suits you I say. Depends on the occasion, depends on the cigar. If I am going to have a special cigar for selecting a special occasion, I will select the food around the cigar..........the average though is the cigar matches the meal (like previously mentioned) meaning food first, cigar second. But the cigar is still held in high regards

I don't see that as a bad thing. If I am going to have a cigar after a meal, I just look in my humidor and see what looks interesting a pull out that cigar. Select the cigar you want to enjoy and go for it. It;s to complicated to think about well I'm having so and so for dinner, so this cigar is a good choice, no maybe this one would be better. Just get a cigar you like and enjoy!

I wish I had that luxury of choosing what to eat based on the cigar that I plan to smoke. I don't always know ahead of time that I'll be herfing a fine one until shortly before the time I realize that I'll be able to sneak one in, like yesterday.

It was beautiful here in the DC area. I got home at the regular time, didn't have to pick up any kids so was by myself. I smoked a Mayorga maduro corona that was delicious! I'm glad I was able to herf one.
